DoomRL

RL is a `roguelike´ set in the Doom universe, in which we will have to venture into randomly generated dungeons, and kill as many demons as we can before its them that end our existence... something inevitable in this genre. The game is made up of 25 random levels; this means that if we overcome the 25 levels we will `win the game´ although they will be different most times so we will very seldom feel like we are repeating a scene. One thing, we will occasionally find `special´ levels which have more than one surprise. As expected from a Doom `roguelike´, in the game we will find the whole arsenal of traditional weapon´s from this franchise, as well as practically all the enemies to which we are so accustomed. The special items are of course, there as well, and even some new ones have been added for the occasion. As we go along killing enemies, our character will move up a level. Each time we do this we will gain more abilities, which will be essential to overcome the enemies from lower levels, who won´t allow us to make even the slightest mistake. Regarding the graphical and audio section DoomRL is wonderful. The game uses the original sounds from Doom and the graphics have been created by Derek Yu, using an excellent pixeled style. DoomRL is an outstanding `rouguelike´, which thanks to the different levels of difficulty it includes will allow us to enjoy relatively simple experiences as well as authentic hell which will burn our eyes and melt our finger tips.
